Farmington is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Farmington follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Hands down one of my absolute favorite spots! The coffee and pastries here are incredible, but you have to try their honeycomb drink—it is an absolute game-changer. Paired with one of their delicious pastries, it makes every visit worth it. As a photographer, I end up doing photo shoots here all the time because the interior design and vibe are unmatched. The aesthetic is warm, inviting, and visually stunning, plus there is always plenty of seating whether you're working, hanging out, or snapping photos. To top it all off, the staff is consistently polite and welcoming, and their rewards system is super generous, making it way too easy to keep coming back. Highly recommend!

I am always on the lookout for unusual coffee shops, the kind that have a story to tell, and Apothecary Espresso & Coffee in downtown Farmington certainly caught my attention before I even walked through the door. The name itself intrigued me. An "apothecary" was traditionally a place where remedies and healing mixtures were prepared, and somehow this coffee shop feels like a modern-day version of place where good coffee, creativity, and community come together. There is comfortable seating both outside and inside, and during my visit it seemed to be a popular gathering place for people working on laptops, catching up with friends, or simply enjoying a quiet moment with a great cup of coffee. The atmosphere felt warm, welcoming, and full of positive energy. One feature I particularly loved was the novelty section inside the store. Alongside your coffee, you can browse candles, unique gifts, and interesting souvenirs. It gives the space a charming boutique feel and encourages you to slow down and explore. I stopped in for a chai latte before heading to the Civic Theater to watch the Michael Jackson movie, and it was exactly what I needed. The chai latte was delicious, comfortin

Hands down my favorite coffee spot in downtown Farmington! From the moment you walk in, the ambience feels warm, cozy, and relaxing. It’s the perfect place to unwind, meet a friend, or just enjoy a quiet moment with a great cup of coffee. I absolutely love the cute little gift shop inside such a thoughtful touch that makes the experience even more special. But the most important thing is the service. The people here are absolutely wonderful. Three weeks ago, I shared an improvement idea, and not only did they implement it, but they remembered my name when I came back. That meant so much to me and truly made me feel valued and special. Great coffee, beautiful atmosphere, and exceptional service. You won’t be disappointed!

Maybe it was an off day? I came in Sunday morning around 10. Normal sized coffee crowd. It took literally 30 minutes for my drink. There were about 6-8 people also waiting for their drink and we were all kinda looking around like…ummm what is taking them so long? There were two barista’s and a cashier, so no staff shortage. No super complex orders. Maybe they were nervous with us all watching and waiting anxiously for caffeine? I think some serious training and management oversight is needed to help their staff be more efficient and timely with drink orders. I’m all about supporting my local baristas, but when I say I wish I could take back that tip I gave at the register, I mean it.…probably not going to try this place again, even though their space is beautiful and the menu is creative. I still want good coffee in a timely manner, and this just wasn’t it. Note to the barista: When there is a line of 10 people waiting for coffee, it’s probably not the time to work on your latte art (and then put a lid on the cup so no one sees it anyways).
